[SNES] DevSnes9x 1.63-1450 (72e49464) DevBuild 27 Sep, 2024 2
Snes9x is a portable, freeware Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) emulator. It basically allows you to play most games designed for the SNES and Super Famicom Nintendo game systems on your PC or Workstation; which includes some real gems that were only ever released in Japan. TestBuild versions are draft versions - allow you to evaluate the progress of the code between the next official editions of this great Super Nintendo emulator (of course, those who appreciate the super accuracy should reach Higan and other projects based on the Bsnes code by Byu).

[ATARI] Altirra 4.30 test XXII 15/09/2024
New test version of Altirry ATARI XE/XL/5200/2600 emulator. For now, the lion's share of fixes in this series is the refinement of printer emulation that can be connected to the emulated microcomputer. From version XXIII, having Polish firmware up to "1029" can enjoy printouts with Polish tails. Nice:) Altirra is an 8-bit Atari emulator, thanks to which, on a computer with the Windows operating system, we will launch classic games available exclusively on Atari. The emulator has an internal core, allowing you to run selected games or programs without the need to install ROMs, the manufacturer does not recommend using this solution. He explains that the internal kernel implemented here has been written from scratch, so compatibility issues may occur. The emulator supports Read more

MAMEUI, formerly known as MAME32, is a graphical interface for the MAME emulator (it is located on the pages of our portal). Currently, the application is available only for 64-bit releases, while the continuation of the project for 32-bits is developed only thanks to Robberta's (Arcade, MessUI, hbMame). Thanks to the overlay, the user is able to conveniently handle all items installed in the emulator.

[GameBase] Amiga Gamebase 1.7 update LXXXV 24/09/2024
Seiya has published a new gamebase update for fans of AMIGA emulation. Why is he announcing this database? After all, we have some order in this really big database and Seiya consistently notes changes - the database is alive and as you can see, thanks to iron consistency it can be updated without downloading everything from scratch (which is quite common in other GBs and has its advantages, especially if new editions of the database appear every few, a dozen or so months). If someone decides to start over, keep the kickstart image dumps - for decency, the refreshed GB for Amiga does not have kickstarts in it. And I guess I don't need to remind you that subsequent updates are applied according to numbering:P If someone is starting their adventure with Amiga GameBase - you should download update 11 and then the subsequent update numbers.

[arcade] Mame x64 0.270 25/09/2024
MAME's purpose is to preserve decades of software history. As electronic technology continues to rush forward, MAME prevents this important "vintage" software from being lost and forgotten. This is achieved by documenting the hardware and how it functions. The source code to MAME serves as this documentation. The fact that the software is usable serves primarily to validate the accuracy of the documentation (how else can you prove that you have recreated the hardware faithfully?). Over time, MAME (originally stood for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) absorbed the sister-project MESS (Multi Emulator Super System), so MAME now documents a wide variety of (mostly vintage) computers, video game consoles and calculators, in addition to the arcade video games that were its initial focus.

[PS4] ShadPS4 v0.3.0
Are there any fans of Sony Playstation 4 emulators here? Definitely... unfortunately I am not one of them - simply because I was a young dinosaur, I stopped somewhere in the PS2 era. However, the world moves at its own pace and it is worth noting the emergence of an application that can handle commercial titles (of course it is not a perfect emulation but UltraHLE* was not created in a day ;)). Out of my chronicler's duty I am taking note and going to buy a cola and chips - I wonder if ShadPS4 will get an inquisitorial tribunal as interesting as the previous emulators that dared to threaten SONY. So far, the videos look quite encouraging... I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but from a distance - I'm old and to be honest, I don't even have the time/desire to do any serious gaming, especially on high-gens.

[8bit] Xroar 1.6.5 23/09/2024
Xroar - emulator mikrokomputerów Tandy Colour Computer (CoCo) models 1 i 2 doczekał się nowej aktualizacji. Pliki systemowe i trochę stuffu można znaleźć np. na archive.org, a osobom, którym to nie wystarcza polecam gamebase tej konstrukcji - odpada nam wertowanie i poszukiwanie komend aby załadować tytuł do emulatora:).

[msx] openMSX v20.0 22/09/2024
OpenMSX is a cross-platform emulator of the entire MSX microcomputer family (a rather interesting design that was created as a result of the marriage of Microsoft with the Japanese ASCII Corporation) from 1983. An interesting feature of the new version is the added support for SpectraVideo SVI738 - MSX, which was sold on the Polish market and also sometimes bought (although I personally know SVI only thanks to a review in Komputer, traces were sometimes visible in the contact sections of computer magazines of their "happy" owners).
