MESSUI is an integrated frontend of MESS, which itself emulates 100 of computers & consoles. MESSUI is similar in appearance to MAMEUI. Each emulation instance is accompanied by a windows-style menubar. This menubar is known as 'NEWUI'.

The new beta emulator FSUAE Frode Solheim, based on the code of other emulators of the family UAE (Unusable Amiga Emulator), and in particular on WinUAE has been published. FSUAE, enriched with a very nice graphical interface, working with its database of information about Amiga games and provided with a truly impressive number of ports to other systems is an interesting alternative for people with more powerful computer, or those who abhor Windows.

Virtual GameBoy (VGB) is a program that emulates the Nintendo GameBoy family handhelds on your computer (GameBoy, Super GameBoy, and GameBoy Color). VGB also helps debugging GameBoy software without using a costly development system. Begining of developing VGB was in 1995. When developing VGB, Author relied on him prior experience with the fMSX emulator. In current version VGB emulates GameBoy Light, GameShark, the tilt sensor, MBC7, TAMA05, and MMM01 memory mappers. I has a mayor fixes to GameBoy CPU and LCD controller emulation. The noise sound channel is much closer to the original. Marat Fayzullin, author of VGB, added support for translation patches (.IPS), custom palettes (.PAL), and a semi-automatic Cheat Hunter tool to search for new cheat codes

ColEm is a portable emulator of the old ColecoVision videogame console. It should run most ColecoVision games and supports Coleco's SuperAction controllers with spin wheels.  ColEm is written in portable C and thus can be ported to any sufficiently fast computing platform.

AmiDog's GPU Plugin by Mathias Roslund is used to render gfx in emulators of Sony Playstation.  This is a PSX GPU Plugin which focus on accuracy and simplicity.

Rice Video is a DirectX/OpenGL gfx plugin for Nintendo 64 emulators (used in 1964 as 1964Video). Plugin is open source.

The new version of the 3DO console emulator - Phoenix. Perhaps the last of the projects in which something is happening today, has been published publicly. The author argues that the new version provides 100% compatibility with the emulated console, taking into account that the 1.9 is doing really well, it might be true :)
